For me, I prefer the first version.
The bass was really driving it before, and now it sounds a little lacklustre, lacking energy. I love the vocal delivery, but I think it only works if it's buried a little bit.
While technically you've got a balance that makes the parts generally clearer in the new version, I find that it has lost some oomph.
I like the idea of a fuzz solo, but the first solo had more of a melodic journey to it, and I think musically served the song better.
That low organ is a nice touch though.
