Advanced Information

The above information describes where to find Reaper user preference and configuration data by default.

However, if you specifically create a REAPER.ini file in the same directory as the reaper application, Reaper will look for all user preference and configuration data in the application directory, ignoring the default directory.

This advanced behavior is handy if you want to create separate preference profiles, or temporarily override your customized preferences.
