I'm also a beginner, I don't have a MIDI keyboard yet but I use Reaper's virtual MIDI keyboard.

I have trouble loading Kontakt Factory library in Reaper. I go to Options - Preferences - Plugins - VST, point to the folder where I unpacked the library but when I click Re-scan nothing happens.

I don't have the VST state/UI window at all, just the 'Default VST to generic UI' and Knob mode.

My OS is Win7 64bit.

p.s. eventually I tried loading the program files-kontakt-vst plugins 64bit folder and it kind of worked, I get a Kontakt window inside Reaper, is that the way it's supposed to be?
