When you're playing in NINJAM, the only way to your ears should be through NINJAM. You need to hear your audio mixed with the click, so you know you're playing to the interval and beat. You also need to be hearing everyone else in the room so you know whether what you're playing makes sense in context of the rest of the people in the room.
