Running something in WINE as root would probably begin with something like,
sudo wine . . .
which the mount command does not do. It simply says mount this .iso image and then don't hide any of it from me. With NI's installer and Linux it stops seeing the Windows part of the disk and believes it to be a Mac only disk halfway through the installation. This wouldn't happen if the .iso wasn't both Windows and Mac.
