At this stage, I honestly couldn't really see any reason to mod an SCA kit other than to physically mount it in something alternative to the SCA chassis. Even then, that wouldn't really be a circuit mod. It would be a layout mod.
The SCA kits look to be as good as it gets as far as building a true 1073 pre stage clone. If one chooses one of these, they are typically doing so to get the 1073 character so why mod?
