I think that a lot can be done now with Linux native plugins, and there is no real need for Windows plugins unless someone wants or needs them themselves.

Another thing is that the Linux kernel can be confusing.

I tested a 10 track Windows vst project with a Debian 4.9 real time kernel on Debian 9 and it was very slow.

Then I tested the same project with the same system but changed the kernel to the new 5.2 liquorix kernel and the project played like a breeze.

That's a realtime kernel performing below par and the liquorix kernel performing a lot better.

Maybe it's some kernel changes in 5.2 and/or maybe the liquorix kernel patches.

I can't really work the performance differences out because the performance differences are unpredictable from kernel to kernel IMO.
