Could you just temporarily flip your Truth monitors on their side, and put the D5's on top of them? - looks like that might be an arrangement that would have the tweeters roughly at ear level, avoid the desk reflections, and most importantly wouldn't take too much time to try them out in a better arrangement.
(I'm intrigued to see what you think of these, hence my somewhat impertinent and unsolicited suggestion about how to arrange your speakers!)
