technically speaking, reaper is better than both pt & pt:hd (mix engine wise. 64 bit fixed, vs 32 bit float(pt) vs 48 bit fixed (pt:hd)). it has a higher flexibility than both, is a fraction of the cost, easier to do parallel processing, the search function in the fx browser (and the favourites folder) are genius, editing is more powerful once you get used to it/customize it.
what is it about the audio that isnt 'as well' as PT?
