Project folder locked
-> create testfolder
-> save a project in it
-> CTRL+F4 (close project)
-> go to Windows Explorer and try to delete the testfolder
=> Not possible. REAPER needs to be closed.
Expected: Folder deleted by Windows Explorer without the need to exit REAPER (because project was closed).

Reaper.exe needs a bit of shutdown time. If you try to delete the folder after you made sure Reaper.exe is not running anymore, the folder can be deleted.
Could not repro on Vista x64 SP2, but I might be 'too slow' ;-)

Of course, that's what I wrote. But why do I need to exit REAPER at all? The project got closed, so the folder shoudln't be locked and be deletable without the need to close REAPER. |

Just read again your description ... and tried it on Vista x64
Reaper is still open after 'close project' and I am able to delete the folder.
Still cannot repro here.

confirmed with vista 32b
edit: it is a bug, it stays locked only if you created it outside reaper,
and it releases after you save a project with create subdirectory on.
