GLUE Empty Item problem
..creates an Audio file from a "text item"
i was about building a multitaked "Chord Helper" item and track template for session guitarists, but as i see "text items" cant be multitaked. as i tried glueing the items before imploding Reaper wrote 48k Audio files - in a 44.1k session.
is this an expected behaviour?

Yes, I think when "Project sample rate" isn't checked explicitely, the source format will be used for Glue!

There is no "source" for an empty item with text. With project sample rate unchecked and "request sample rate" checked, it writes an 48kHz file indeed, while normal recording uses the device sample rate. Using empty items for auto punch in selected items writes 44.1k too, so there's a discrepancy.
I can't think of a reason why one would want to glue an empty item alone though, glueing an empty and an existing audio file inherits the sample rate of the audio file. So this is a non-issue, or did I miss something?

Mercado told me i can build multitaked empty/text items, IF i glue em first. so i tried that and saw this behaviour - and it makes no sense to me.
it shouldnt write an audio file from a "Text item".
and why they cant be multitaked?

Ok, confirmed. In this case it should indeed use the device sample rate.

But that's a feature request then. Current design is to write audio files in this case.
