What you described is different than what happens. I thought you were saying that when you insert a new track it selected it only in the TCP and not in the MCP. What actually occurs is that the MCP does not scroll to the selected track when you insert a new track.

I would like to mark this as a bug (I marked no before).

it doesn't suppose to scroll, only if you set it for that.
but there is other known bug with that
that it scrolls (when set) only when mouse click, and not via MIDI hardware CC.

The track is being selected but as you can see on the scrollbar, it doesn't scroll to the end until you reselect it. The MCP follows the TCP on click, not on insert, that would be the bug then.

Your odd 1-channel mixer screen setup helps in making it an "always" problem for you, with a normal mixer screen, the chance is much smaller that a track is being inserted ouside of the visible area.

this is a normal and favorite view for many users (included me)
because reaper doesn't have this feature (as in Sonar) yet.

and this is a longtime reported bug, it also occured as i said with MIDI hardware CC.

Whatsup, as always I'm pointing out the bug mechanism and the important points for the user and the devs, in case the user didn't do that himself. This doesnt mean I don't like his screen setup or something and I mentioned it to make clear why this happens all the time for him. Thanks.

you're right. there's an option called "Scroll view when tracks are activated". it's on, but in this case doesn't work.

Do you mean the actions "select track XX", or some other action?
