Problems with shortcuts / modifier assignments
Something makes them prone to conflicts in many scenarios, such as the one described below...

Iīve seen many situations in which shortcuts/modifers wouldnīt work as expected when a specific key such as Ctrl, Alt, etc. is involved. The next recipe can be tested - as I did - on a fresh portable install of v4.75 :

1 - Open a fresh, new project in a fresh, portable install.

2 - Open the Action List, look for the action "Track : Select track 01" and assign it the shortcut "Alt + F1" or "Alt + W".

3 - Create three or more empty tracks. Click outside of them to be sure that no one is selected.

4 - Run the newly created shortcut : did it select track 01? In all the scenarios I tested it - including the one with the fresh portable install - it didnīt. It selects all but the first track. If I assign other shortcut without the Alt key to the action, for example "Ctrl + Shift + F1", the action runs nicely without a problem.

This is just the latest example Iīve met. Not only this applies to the Alt key, of course. Ctrl key has also proved to be problematic in certain cases, as stated in this thread : http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.p...32#post1409832 . On that issue, changing the Ctrl for other key solved the problem. A similar situation, this time not easily reproducible but certainly solved by changing the modifier, can be found here : http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=149762 .And the list goes on...
