MIDI editor: Last note not selectable (in Trianlge mode)
When in Trianlge mode, the last note in a mdi item is not selectalbe, if the right edge of the triangle is overlapping the end marker line. Trying to select the note will create a new one on top of it.

Can't even get to that situation, nor reproduce. Care to upload a RPP file?

Here it is (well down, in the attachments).

P.S.: This was created with 3.3 on a totally different machine where I just installed REAPER to test this!

I cannot reproduce this. I downloaded your test project and I can select that note at any zoom level without problems. Do you have more information about this? Maybe we're missing something.

Strange! EvilDragon can also reproduce it: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=51656.

You're right, I cannot select the note while its right corner is touching or close to the item edge but:

1) I can do it if I zoom in
2) I can do it with a marquee selection

Do those methods work for you?

Confirmed (3.31pre1).

Marquee selection works. Single click selection doesn't. Selected with marquee selection still needs moving via keayboard because single click selection+drag creates a new note.

Like Mercado said, it's all depending on zoom (horizontal and vertical):

Unselectable

What am I missing then? This is opening the attached project, zooming, then clicking the note.

[edit] I think you can now select the note, but you have to click within the boundaries of the MIDI item (not on the part of the note that hangs over the edge).

Don't zoom. Just open the project -> then open the MIDI editor -> try to select the note ...

Not working here.

Works fine, if you click as described 2 posts up.

When I think logically - if I click OUTSIDE the boundary of a MIDI item, I shouldn't be able to select anything, since I'm "out of the item", right?

Ok, that's right.

It would be nicer if the note would be selected clicking anywhere on it's icon. But other than that the issue seems fixed for me. I can select and edit (eg move) the note properly now.

I'll mark this as fixed, but we will probably improve this (literal) corner case anyway.
