Save/Load Preferences
I would like the ability to save and load different preferences.
SoundCards, inputs and outputs (names aliases too), audio and Midi settings, pan laws, grid and metronome settings, etc, etc.
I would like to recognize everything I`ve been changing since the defaults.
Good for clean installations.
Thanks

And great for bringing your own settings to another workstation, or copying them to another OS installation or slave machine in your own studio.
What is saved in such a settings file needs some user feedback though.
For me, it is the keyboard map, the colour theme, much of the preferences though not the audio device, the icon configuration, the screen sets... and that's all I can think of right now.
When a program is so flexible and has so many configuration files, it would be very useful to be able to save all of them in to a ZIP file for example, loadable from anywhere. Reaper could use a cache directory to unpack that stuff for the current user settings.
It's also excellent for backup purposes. Not a lot of small files to keep track of.
