I've had problems with most of the sonar plugins. I used to love the tube leveller, but it crashes constantly

Hi Everyone,
Oddly the only Sonar plug-in that will not work in my Reaper environment is the LP-64 EQ. I have no problems with the LP-64 multiband compressor, Tube Leveler, the Vocal strip, the Transient shaper, Boost 11, or any other Sonar-Cakewalk plug-in that is not locked to Sonar (such as the Kjaerhus VC-64 Vintage Channel). I bought the ddmf suite of processors which includes a fabulous compressor (NYC) and both linear phase and normal EQs, and the LP10 linear phase EQ is much better than the Sonar LP-64 EQ (costs only $20 for just the LP10). Also, see Voxengo for their cute little Tube Amp plug-in -- it's free and sounds very much like the Sonar tube leveler at low to moderate settings (and can get very gritty if you want!) And, using ReaRoute in Reaper you should be able to run Sonar in the background with any of it's plug-ins, the main problem being that Sonar will use significant resources. While I'm at it, get the Voxengo SPAN, a spectrum analyzer with comprehensive adjustments -- I use one in the MAX plot mode to view overall spectral data in whole sections of music -- it holds all the peak levels in every frequency band which I find very handy for figuring EQ settings in competing tracks. Another freebie from Voxengo. Sound-Guy |

Sorry for the trouble. Do you have a crash log (please check the bit about Event Viewer here: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=36653)? Thanks!

Hello Ollie (and all)
Sorry I don't read email, or even go online, every day. I've been in the studio which has no net connection (don't need bugs and viruses there!) I see pbk sent a crash log -- I haven't tried to use the LP-64EQ in over six months since I got the ddmf LP-10. I looked at my system and found an LP-64EQ related crash recorded on November 18, 2010. I'll attach the event log. Sound-Guy |

Just to confirm, REAPER 3.76 x64 on Win 7 x64, but same crash with REAPER 4 beta 7 both x32 and x64; totally reproducible here. When bridged in x86 from x64 reaper, noGUI appears; I guess this must be a plugin GUI problem then...
