Default Reaper and WINE: Closing FX windows with VSTi crashes WINE

So heres what I got going on. I'm using KXStudio. When I open Reaper in WINE everything works fine (although it kind of looks like weird, the font is odd), then I open Battery 2. I choose a kit I want and check the sound and everything sounds great. Then I close the FX box. Boom, WINE crashes, Reapers Gone. WTF? Anyone know what's going on? I don't even know where to begin to address this problem.

You probably need to install additional ttf fonts to make stuff look ok in wine. Suppose some ubuntu forum can help with that. Personally I don't have battery2, but tried loading v3 in a project and can't reproduce. Managed to hang all of reaper though while playing the snare real fast on the trigger...

In my experience the NI stuff isn't all that good in wine. Some of it works fine, some of it so and so, and some of it not good at all.

You might wanna try to bridge/firewall the plugins (see: plugins->compatibility settings). That way a crashing plugin can't kill the host, does come with some overhead though.
