Default Missing font in Notation Editor?

Greetings:

I've just tried REAPER 5 for the first time-- longtime licensed v3.xx user here-- and am seeing just strange graphics in the Notation Editor. It looks not unlike what is seen when the proper typeface is missing:

I've looked through the Guide to no avail. Is there some font package that I should have downloaded?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

D

I read a message somewhere that Justin had to replace a font on the OSX build. If you didn't download Reaper 5.20 just then, I'd try downloading and installing it again.

Hmm yes, can you tell me the exact version from the about box (including the build rev string from the title)?

Thanks! This seems to be a limitation in 10.5, which is incredibly old, for now this workaround ought to work:

1) right click on REAPER.app, select "Show package contents".

2) Navigate to Contents, then Resources

3) Find the file "Reavura.otf", doubleclick it, then when the Font Book opens it, choose "Install Font"

4) Restart REAPER and see if it works!

That's it!

Sorry to be so slow in responding. Life has such a tendency to get in the way.

The notation editor is great for those of us who are 'paper trained'!

Thank you!

I'm having the same problem, but on Windows. I think it's due to a recent update.

When I click the otf file, I get an error "not a valid font file".

Reinstalling doesn't fix it, so I guess I'll wait for another Windows update and hope that fixes it, unless someone else has an idea.
