Superior Drummer 2
I tried to ask this on the Toontrack forum but noboby is giving me attention, so I'll post the question here.
I created a note name map for the midi editor, copying what I've found in the Midi Layout PDF. But some notes in the PDF are greyed out, why?

A useless response, but just didn't want you to feel that you weren't getting attention
I have no idea. My first thought was it might be to do with default e-kit mapping, but I just had a look at the mapping for the Avatar kit and I don't think that theory holds water.

Does it mean that a note has not been assigned to the drum/cymbal yet like with the Learn function ?

I don't think so, because all of those keys work with the default mapping.

...I thought I got a bit closer with the "Superior" mapping, but it still doesn't quite match.
I don't think it's something you have to worry about though, as the default mapping all matches up regardless of "greyness".

yeah I know it works anyway, but if you look a bit more careful, you can see that often the greyed out names just repeat the black ones.

I just had a quick look at a GM drum map, and I'm now wondering if the grey ones are duplicates that you can freely remap without messing up GM-mapped input too much?
I really don't know, just guessing.

AFAIK, the greyed out's indicate that there's a "parent group" already somewhere else.
E.g. you have single "Cymbal 2 Muted" and "Cymbal 2 Crashed" greyed out somewhere but the "parent" [Cymbal2] muted+crashed side by side at #50 and #49 in black.
Maybe it's done to make the recording easier with a master-keyboard, I assume.
AND (!): a nice Reaperian (aka "godprobe") has done almost all of that for us! Ready to run toontrack notemaps, a coloured spreadsheet, it's insane! Go here: http://www.godprobe.com/projects/notemaps/

The other thing to bear in mind is that the various sdx packs have a huge variety of bashy things included and not every kit has the same elements....
